This is another new listing in La Zagaleta of Drumelia.

This area of Zagaleta is set very close to the North entrance, just three minutes away. The privileged and very private location is complemented by a beautiful landscape integration, designed to unite architecture and mountainside nature in one project.

The plot is 8.618 m2, and the house with 5 bedroom suites is 1684 m2. The asking

price is 9 million euros including furniture.

The old olive tree is right in the middle of the nice driveway leading into the garage, and there is much space to manoeuvre. You see a massive porch of the attractive modern Andalusian-style building. Constructed in 2005, it's still very modern architecture with many modern elements and features.

The colour is grey, and a rustic element at the entrance, a brick wall, makes it even more attractive.

This house does not have any sea views but spectacular mountain views. It faces west, and you get to enjoy magnificent sunsets in the evening. The sun will go behind the mountains right in front of you.

THE GROUND FLOOR.

Inside, there is a big hallway, almost triple high, with huge picture windows. The floors boast beautiful local natural stones from Malaga and Algeciras. It goes all the way in the whole house and the staircase, which is very special, like a piece of art itself.

The hallway has a guest toilet and leads to the living room. Immediately we have the kitchen, a great space with a double-sized island, Miele appliances and a lovely corner with a table for breakfast or lunch, and picture windows that allow us to feel integrated with nature. The ceiling is outstanding, with natural cherry wood from Washington, and you will see it in other rooms of the house.

There is a separate entrance and a separate staircase for staff to go into the basement, and a back kitchen with another fridge, another oven, etc.; everything is double.

The hallway, which goes in parallel to the other hallway, leads to a lovely patio, and the windows on both sides let it light.

You will be impressed with this particular detail; it's like a metal wall, a very modern touch!

The open plan living room has double-height, lovely big windows, and bespoke, tailor-made furniture created for this house. The dining area is fantastic and well-integrated with the outdoor porch with more seating areas enjoying great views of the mountains.

The architect is not Diego Tobal who did most of the houses in Zagaleta but another famous architect, Juan Salvador Shvartzberg, who manages his own studio in Puerto Banús. His signature is the triangle and he has put it in the amazing corner of the ceiling in this living room.

The different play of heights is interesting. An office area is up there, and the house has an office on the other floor as well.

All the windows have electrical shutters; they are customized and look very elegant.

OUTSIDE AREA.

Outside, the views are breath taking and the facade looks very impressive. In front, there are other houses but because this property is so elevated in respect to the others, you almost do not see them at all and you have a lot of privacy in every corner of the plot, which is so important and highly demanded. Security and privacy - this is more important for many people than the sea views. You can enjoy your home and not be bothered by anyone.

The swimming pool is 22 m long, it is really big and wide, with a diving spot and a staircase on each side, which makes it very comfortable. The pool is elevated in respect to the property and is on the same level as the living room, which is pretty cool. Then on both sides below, you have a big flat platform for kids to run around and play.

All the bedrooms have views over the pool area and the green views to the mountains. The little windows let light into the basement that can be accessed from 3 different sides, including the living room, the kitchen and the Master suite area.

The architecture is not very typical, and the Andalusian tiles on the top combined with the glass, metal railing and grey colour look truly cool.

A staircase leads you to the garden bottom level. Another superb thing is that there is a gate, which takes you down to the forest. Not many homes around make you feel like everything is a part of your plot. It is also convenient if you have dogs and want to go outside to walk with them. Be careful with your dogs, you can meet some deer, wild pigs and other animals just running around.

THE BEDROOMS.

The guest wing of the house has three bedrooms; another bedroom suite is in the basement with a separate entrance, windows and natural light; and the upper level hosts the Master suite. A lift goes into all the floors.

GUEST WING.

All the bedrooms have a good high ceiling, feature walls, nice windows with beautiful views to the green area, and their own bathrooms en-suite with the walk-in showers, double vanities, bathtubs, lot of marble and natural grey stone.

It is very convenient to have three guest bedrooms on the ground floor, because this is a separate corner away from the main house. Just close the door and it feels so private. There is a walk-in closet area and extra living space only for these three bedrooms.

MASTER SUITE UPSTAIRS.

Upstairs, you find a beautiful office with natural wood, libraries and cherry wood ceiling that looks spectacular, a terrace at the back with the mountain views, and a small guest toilet next to the Master suite. The cozy Master bedroom, walk-in closet and bathroom take the entire wing.

The spacious Master bedroom is stunning with a minimalistic bed, natural wood ceilings and walls, a separate seating area, cool design chairs, the best, very peaceful views. Some days you can see the deer walking around. Magic!

The Master bathroom is also very impressive, with a one-piece natural stone freestanding bathtub of at least 800 kilos, double vanity on both sides, a walk-in shower and the same spectacular wood ceiling.

Domotic system controls the speakers throughout.

The walk-in wardrobe of great size has a nice extra window.

The layout is fantastic. This house is a great opportunity for a family looking for a big but cosy house with a lot of modern touches and very close to the gate of La Zagaleta. You can move in and enjoy it as it is, or you can switch little details, make a few things around to your taste, update a little bit or paint it.

For a price of 9 million euros, with the market that is so hot today and lack of stock it is very difficult to find good properties ready to move-in within this price range.

DOWNSTAIRS.

The basement has the garage for 5-6 cars, easy to maneuver. The driveway is also easy and flat, so it is sports car-friendly. The corner has ceramic tiles on the walls and an extra exit for water, so you can actually wash your car inside of the garage.

We don't see very often a proper wine cellar made of the proper materials because nowadays it's more about very modern and contemporary ones. However, at the end of the day the wine experts always say that it is very important to use wood and bricks for construction of the wine cellars. In this proper bodega you can fit more than 1.500 bottles.

The hallway with light spots looks and feels futuristic. Then you have an open library with the windows, and the staircase that takes us right back to the living room area.

The SPA-area with a heated, 11-m long swimming pool behind the glass, Hammam and a big walk-in shower is on the other side. You can also put a small gym down there if you want.

The chill-out space invites to relax, watch TV at the area, which is darker so you have a cinema feeling.

Everything is an open plan space but at the same time, it is separated and private.

A massive laundry, a staff or guest apartment, a big storage room complete the basement.

This is a solid, beautiful house, not new but very modern and stylish, built by the owners for themselves and with a lot of love. Everything is of high standard, all construction materials, equipment and pieces of art.
