Throughout 2026, Drumelia's work in Marbella's luxury real estate market has attracted coverage from publications including Forbes España, idealista/news, Diario SUR, SUR in English and El Economista.

From our CEO's participation in industry discussions to the publication of our latest sales figures, the coverage has focused on two developments: the changing profile of Marbella's luxury property buyers and the growing significance of transactions above €10 million.

Here is a selection of the stories and the insights behind them.

Forbes España: How Marbella's Luxury Property Buyer Is Changing

On 25 June 2026, Drumelia CEO and co-owner Artur Loginov took part in the Forbes Real Estate Forum Costa del Sol, held at the Kimpton Los Monteros hotel in Marbella. Drumelia also supported the event as an official sponsor.

Artur joined the opening panel, "The Big Moment for Prime Residential", where he shared his perspective on how the market is evolving.

One of the central themes was the changing profile of international buyers. While established locations remain important, younger buyers are increasingly willing to experiment with location when a property offers exceptional architecture, design and quality. This creates opportunities to develop prime residential areas beyond the traditional enclaves.

The growing community of international technology professionals choosing Marbella as a place to live, sometimes associated with the term "Costa Tech", was another topic of discussion.

Forbes España's report on the forum covers the panel, including Artur's comments on younger buyers and the Costa Tech trend, alongside the wider debate on international investment and the region's infrastructure. The forum also received a two-page spread in the September 2026 print edition of Forbes.

We also shared a more detailed account in our article, Artur Loginov at the Forbes Real Estate Forum Costa del Sol.

SUR in English: More Than €70 Million in Sales During the First Half of 2026

In July, SUR in English reported on Drumelia's results for the first six months of 2026.

During that period, Drumelia completed property transactions totalling more than €70 million, with an average transaction value of €3.76 million.

The report also explored Artur's perspective on Marbella's transition from the exceptional growth seen after the pandemic towards a more measured and sustainable phase.

For buyers and sellers, this distinction matters. Demand remains present, but decisions increasingly depend on the quality of the property, realistic pricing and its suitability for the buyer's needs.

Idealista, Diario SUR and El Economista: Marbella's €10 Million-Plus Property Market

September brought further coverage of Drumelia's activity in Marbella's ultra-prime residential segment.

According to Drumelia's transaction records, the agency has brokered more than 20 property sales at or above €10 million since 2021, representing a combined value of €427.3 million. Eighteen of those properties were marketed exclusively by Drumelia.

Idealista/news examined these figures, highlighting La Zagaleta and Sierra Blanca as two of Marbella's most established ultra-prime residential areas.

The article also addressed a fundamental aspect of transactions at this level: the importance of trust, discretion, market knowledge, negotiation and coordination between the professionals involved.

The same market development was covered by Diario SUR, while El Economista explored Marbella's increasingly established and discreet ultra-prime property market, where some transactions reach €20 million, €30 million or more.

The figures also reached a wider national audience through reporting by Spanish news agency EFE, subsequently published by outlets including Infobae.

Among the transactions highlighted by EFE were a villa sold for more than €40 million in Sierra Blanca and Villa Cullinan, sold by Drumelia for €32 million in La Zagaleta. The latter sale, completed in 2021, remains an example of the agency's experience representing exceptional properties.

Although transactions above €10 million represent a relatively small part of Marbella's overall residential market, Drumelia's experience shows that they are no longer isolated events within the agency's most established luxury locations.

What These Developments Mean for Marbella

Beyond the headlines and transaction values, three observations stand out from our work in the market.

First, buyers are becoming more selective. An exceptional address remains valuable, but architecture, privacy, property condition and overall quality can be equally important in a purchasing decision.

Second, truly distinctive properties remain scarce. Locations such as La Zagaleta and Sierra Blanca offer a limited supply of large plots and exceptional residences. That scarcity is particularly relevant to the highest segment of the market.

Third, expertise matters beyond finding a buyer. High-value property transactions often involve international clients, substantial due diligence, complex negotiations and coordination with legal, tax and other professional advisers.

These observations come from our direct experience representing buyers and sellers. The transaction figures discussed in the press refer specifically to Drumelia's activity, rather than the entire Marbella property market.

For readers interested in the properties and locations discussed, Drumelia's current exclusive listings in Sierra Blanca include Villa Marusha and La Graciosa. Our article about the Casa Valentino event in La Zagaleta also offers a closer look at how we present exceptional homes through carefully planned experiences.

For more than two decades, Drumelia has worked with clients buying and selling property in Marbella and its surrounding areas. Sharing what we learn through actual transactions, and contributing to wider conversations about the market, remains an important part of that work.

We thank the journalists and publications that have covered these developments and included Drumelia's perspective.
